In a season marked by transformation and renewed energy, the current coaching staff is redefining what it means to be part of a team. Players like Kam Alston are voicing their appreciation for the shift from last year’s administration to a more engaged, supportive coaching approach.
When asked about the previous year’s staff compared to the current staff Alston made remarks of more hands-on work given this year than last. “Transitioning to a coaching staff that truly cares about the players and the team is a welcoming change,” he said.
Kam also stated that staff this year compared to last has a more open communication system giving the team more room to be a team. “This year everyone communicates with each other allowing us to be a team,” he said.
Constructive criticism is also a big part of the staff this year that makes the players grasp their new coaching techniques better than last. “The coaching style is way more hands-on and constructive, allowing us to see what we need to do and take coaching well,” he said.
Alston was quick to highlight that the team aims to grow and become the best they can be despite all of life’s hardships. “The main goal of this season is to prove ourselves as a good team in a tough area and show we can handle adversity,” he said.
