Homecoming Week is always one of the most exciting weeks of the year. This year was filled with the usual traditions and an exciting end to the week.
Students creativity shines brightly throughout the week, from their painted boards that set ablaze during the bonfire, to the homemade mums they wear to the game. Dressing up is just another one of activities that show the spirit of our students here at Rockport-Fulton High School. The themes this year being Tuesday: Dynamic Duo, Wednesday: Dress as your Favorite Celebrity, Thursday: Y2K VS Country, and Friday: Spirit Day. On Wednesday, Seniors brought their A-game, showing off their celebrity outfits. Meredith Sundberg sporting her Shakira inspired outfit, Ava Moreno looking like 24k magic as Bruno Mars, along with Sean Howell and Dawson Phillips twinning as Barnacle Boy.
On Friday before the big game, the Homecoming Court proudly represented their respective clubs by walking the field. Nominees from Student Council, National Honor Society, UIL, Yearbook, ROTC, Maritime, Art Club, Theatre, Band, Choir, HOSA, Cheerleading, Emeralds, Spanish Club, Athletics, Athletic Trainers, and the Senior Class. Following the court was the crowing of our 2024-2025 Homecoming Queen and King, Kaitlyn Garcia and Sean Howell. Garcia represented Student Council and Howell represented National Honor Society. These two went on to play on the field and cheer on the sidelines, leading the Pirates to a win against the Ingleside Mustangs, 49-14.
The students ended their week under the lights at the Homecoming Dance. A night filled with dancing, time with friends, and dressing up.
